What's Included in a Standard House Cleaning in Regina
"Standard clean" sounds self-explanatory until you're trying to decide whether it covers the thing you actually care about. Here's a plain-language breakdown of what a standard visit covers room by room, what sits outside it, and how to tell when you need something else.
What a Standard Clean Is For
A standard clean is maintenance. It assumes the home is in reasonable shape and keeps it there — the visit most people book every two or four weeks.
It's not the right choice for a first visit or for a home that hasn't had a thorough clean in a while. That's what a deep clean is for, and it's recommended any time it's been 30 days or more.
Kitchen
- Counters and backsplash wiped
- Sink scrubbed and taps polished
- Appliance exteriors wiped — fridge, oven, dishwasher, microwave
- Microwave cleaned inside
- Stovetop cleaned, including grates and knobs
- Cupboard fronts spot-cleaned for fingerprints and splashes
- Table and chairs wiped
- Garbage emptied and liner replaced
- Floor vacuumed and washed
Inside the oven, inside the fridge and inside the cabinets are add-ons rather than part of the standard visit, because each one is a job in itself.
Bathrooms
- Toilet cleaned inside and out, including the base and behind
- Tub and shower scrubbed, including the surround
- Shower glass cleaned — and in Regina, that means working on hard water deposits
- Sink and counter cleaned, taps polished
- Mirror cleaned
- Towel bars, handles and switch plates wiped
- Floor vacuumed and washed
- Garbage emptied
Bathrooms are the most detailed room in the house, which is why the price is built around how many of them you have rather than square footage.
Bedrooms
- All reachable surfaces dusted — dressers, nightstands, shelves, headboards
- Mirrors and glass wiped
- Beds made with existing linens, or sheets changed if you leave fresh ones out
- Floors vacuumed, including visible areas under the bed
- Hard floors washed
- Garbage emptied
Living Areas, Hallways and Stairs
- Surfaces dusted, including shelves, tables and electronics exteriors
- Upholstery vacuumed where it's accessible
- Mirrors and glass surfaces cleaned
- Light switch plates, door handles and railings wiped
- Baseboards spot-cleaned where they're visible and reachable
- Floors vacuumed, stairs included
- Hard floors washed
Entry and Mudroom
Always included, and in Regina this is the room that earns it. Floors vacuumed and washed, surfaces wiped, mats shaken out, salt and grit dealt with. From November on, this is the first thing that tells you whether a clean happened.
What Isn't Included
Not because it doesn't matter, but because it either takes a specialist, carries risk, or is a job rather than a task:
- Interior windows, blinds, inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside cabinets and dishes — all available as add-ons
- Exterior windows and anything requiring a ladder beyond a standard step stool
- Walls and ceilings beyond spot-cleaning
- Carpet shampooing and upholstery steam cleaning — different equipment, different trade
- Mould remediation, pest issues and biohazards
- Heavy clutter — cleaners clean rather than organize, and surfaces need to be reachable
- Moving heavy furniture — we clean around and under where it's safe to reach
- Garages, sheds and unfinished basements unless arranged beforehand
- Laundry, beyond changing sheets you've left out
If something on that list is what you need, say so when you book and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit.
The Add-Ons, and When They're Worth It
Each is a flat price on top of your clean:
- Inside oven — $30. Worth it before the holidays, and after any big roast
- Inside fridge — $30. Best right after a grocery clear-out
- Inside cabinets — $20. Ideal when they're already empty, like after a declutter or during a move
- Interior windows — $30. The seasonal one. Finish it before the storms go on
- Wet-wipe blinds — $40. The single biggest dust reservoir in a prairie home, and heating season is about to circulate it
- Dishes — $20. The add-on people appreciate most after hosting
Standard, Deep, or Move In / Move Out?
Standard — the home is maintained and you want it kept that way.
Deep — first visit, 30-plus days since the last thorough clean, after a renovation, or before guests arrive. It covers more detail and more of the surfaces a standard visit passes over.
Move in / move out — the home is empty and the goal is top to bottom, including inside cupboards and closets. This is the one for end of lease, a possession date, or handing keys to a buyer.
If you're unsure, the general rule is simple: if you're looking at the house thinking "this needs more than a tidy," it's a deep clean.
How the Pricing Works
Flat-rate, not hourly. You see the exact price before you book rather than after the work's done, and a visit that runs long doesn't cost you more.
From $149 + GST for a 1 bed / 1 bath, plus $25 per additional bathroom, with add-ons priced as above. Recurring visits save 15% every 2 weeks or 10% every 4 weeks. Get your price in about 30 seconds, or read more about us.
