YQR Cleaning ("we", "us", "our") provides house cleaning services in Regina, Saskatchewan. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use yqrcleaning.com, contact us, respond to our ads, or book a clean, and how we use and protect it. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us when you request a quote or clean, ask for a callback, fill out a form on Facebook or Instagram, or call or text us:
- Name, mobile phone number and email address
- Service address and access notes (for example a lockbox code or parking instructions)
- Details about your home and the service you want (size, bedrooms, bathrooms, type of clean, frequency, extras, preferred date and time, notes)
- Messages and call notes when you talk with us
- Your marketing preference (whether you want to hear about specials)
Information created when we serve you: booking history, prices and payment status, and before-and-after photos our cleaners take of the areas they clean, for quality control.
Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe; we never see or store it. We receive a confirmation, the amount, and limited card details (such as the last four digits) from Stripe.
Information collected automatically: when you visit our website, our hosting provider and the tools listed below may record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the ad you clicked. If you partly fill in our quote form and leave, we may keep the contact details you entered so we can follow up.
2. How we use your information
- To give you a price, confirm cleaner availability and schedule your clean
- To send booking texts and emails: request received, confirmation, changes or cancellations, completion, payment links and receipts
- To take payment, issue receipts and process refunds
- To follow up on a quote or callback request you started
- To check quality, handle complaints and keep our cleaners and customers safe
- To send promotions and specials, only if you've given consent or where CASL otherwise allows (for example after a recent purchase or inquiry)
- To measure and improve our advertising, and to show our ads to people likely to need cleaning (see section 4)
- To keep business, tax and accounting records, and to meet legal requirements
We don't use your information for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Our cleaners | Your name, address, access notes and job details so they can do the clean |
| Cloudflare | Website hosting and our booking database |
| Stripe | Card payments and refunds |
| Quo (OpenPhone) | Business phone calls and text messages |
| Resend | Sending our booking and marketing emails |
| Meta (Facebook & Instagram) | Advertising, ad measurement and lead forms (see section 4) |
| Photon / OpenStreetMap (komoot) | Address suggestions as you type your address |
| Google Fonts | Loading the fonts on our website |
Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale of the business.
4. Cookies, the Meta Pixel and advertising
Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms. It uses cookies and similar technology to record visits and actions on our site, such as viewing a page, requesting a clean or asking for a callback. This helps us see which ads work and lets Meta show our ads to people who have visited our site or who are similar to our customers. Meta may link this information with your Facebook or Instagram account under Meta's Privacy Policy.
If you submit a form inside a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta passes the details you entered to us, and we use them as described in this policy.
Your choices: you can control ad personalization in your Meta ad preferences, opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you from requesting a clean.
5. Texts, emails and unsubscribing
Booking messages (confirmations, changes, payment links, receipts) are part of the service and are sent when you request or book a clean. Promotional messages are sent only with your consent or as CASL permits. You can stop promotions any time: reply STOP to a text, click unsubscribe in any email, or contact us. Message and data rates may apply.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking, payment and accounting records for at least six years, as the Canada Revenue Agency requires. Quote and callback requests that never become bookings, and job photos, are kept only as long as they're useful for following up or resolving a complaint, and are then deleted. Marketing consent records are kept as long as needed to show we had consent.
7. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected staff accounts, and access limited to staff who need it. Card data is handled by Stripe and never touches our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable safeguards for the sensitivity of the information, and we'll notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm.
8. Your rights
You can ask to:
- See the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong or out of date
- Withdraw consent to marketing, or have your information deleted (except records we're legally required to keep)
Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children
Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
